Keeping your heart healthy is important for the proper functioning of the entire body. But not all
can afford a heart check for their family. In this view, Gudaloor rotary club, Leo Hospital, Leo Metro Cardiac Center and Metromed together have decided to roll out free heart check up service to the needy at Wayanad on the occasion of The Heart Health Day. The venue for the event was Leo Hospital itself.

Renowned cardiologists V Nandakumar, P.P Muhammed Mustafa, Kamaran Ahmad, Jyothis Vijay, Baiju. S, Leo Hospital Administration Head, T.P.V Ravindran participated in the event. The campaign has effectively reached out to a large number of people who aimed to identify cardiac problems and abnormalities and wanted to have a healthy and happy life. Tests like ECG, Echo, TMT etc were conducted for those who needed it and people who were diagnosed with the requirement of an Angiogram and Angioplasty were asked to contact the Rotary Club representatives of their area.

T Siddique, MLA in his talk during the campaign said “It is always better to do regular checkups and be aware of your heart health rather than treating it once the health deteriorates. The greatest asset of any nation is definitely its healthy citizens”.
